Medicare Benefit Schedule
With a GP referral and EPC – Enhanced Primary Care Plan, you may be able to claim a Medicare rebate for up to 5 sessions in a calendar year.
Initial Assessment
60 minutes | Norwest Clinic

- Comprehensive assessment of nutrition and relevant background
- Nutrition education provided
- Goals will be discussed and a Nutrition plan created
- A report will be written and emailed to the referring GP after the Initial session
- A second report will be written and emailed to the referring GP after the final session
Review Assessment
30 minutes | Norwest Clinic or Telehealth.
$200.00
- Review of nutrition, health and wellbeing
- further education provided as needed
- Nutrition plan reviewed and amended if needed

Step 1
The initial appointment will take place at our clinic in Norwest. At the end, a review appointment will be booked, if needed.
Step 2
A report will be written by the Dietitian and sent to you and the referring GP.
Step 3
An invoice will be sent to you for payment and from there, you can submit a claim to Medicare for a rebate, currently 85% of the full fee.
Step 4
For each review appointment that takes place, if another is required it will be arranged during consultation.
Step 5
Upon attending the final session, the Dietitian will prepare another report which will be emailed to you and the referring GP.
It is important to track the number of sessions utilised to ensure you are able to claim a rebate from Medicare. The MBS item number for Dietetics is 10954.
